Ohio State to host fourth annual Scholars Day

Ohio State President Dr. Karen Holbrook will welcome nearly 250 of the top-performing high school seniors in the region to Scholars Day from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (1/11) at The Ohio Union Ballroom, 1739 N. High St.

Scholars Day, marking its fourth year, gives university officials the opportunity to share information about its academic resources. The Scholars Program focuses on mentoring communities built around a common interest, field of study or profession. Students, attending by invitation only, rank in the Top 20 percent of their high school class and averaged a minimum score of 25 on their ACT.

In addition to President Holbrook’s address, students also will tour the campus and meet with faculty and staff members, and with current students enrolled in the Scholars Program.
