Ohio State to host Hip-Hop Summit on Thursday

The “OHIO Hip-Hop Summit – 2004,” a statewide youth voter registration effort, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday (6/3) at the Schottenstein Center, 555 Borror Drive. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network will feature rap mogul Russell Simmons and some of the top hip-hop artists in the industry in a non-partisan voter registration and education summit. The goal of network’s Ohio summit is to register as many voters in the state between the ages of 18 and 40.

The event is free but a ticket is required for admission. Tickets and voter registration areas will be available at the site. Registration is not required to get a ticket.

Editor’s Note: Media credentials are required and will be available for pickup in the Fred Taylor Room at the Schottenstein Center beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday. Media parking is in the Grey lots near the Schottenstein Center.
