Ohio State undergraduates to take part in research forum

More than 130 students at The Ohio State University will present their research projects at the 7th annual Richard J. and Martha D. Denman Undergraduate Research Forum, which runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday (5/21) in the Ohio Union Ballrooms, 1739 N. High St.

Throughout the years, the undergraduate research forum has attracted the best and brightest undergraduate students at Ohio State. The purpose of the forum is: to encourage undergraduate participation in research; to develop the abilities of undergraduate students to make a contribution to society; and to provide an opportunity to showcase interdisciplinary student research projects.

The student projects, which will be presented on poster boards, will be judged during the forum. The winners, who will be announced between 4 and 5 p.m., will receive a cash award, a medallion and a certificate.

Richard and Martha Denman, who are longtime supporters of the university, sponsor the forum. For years, Richard Denman has been actively involved with Ohio State, including his membership to The Ohio State University Foundation Board of Directors. He also is the recipient of the university’s Distinguished Service Award.
