Ohio State University President Drake to deliver commencement address to Columbus State graduates

Ohio State University President Michael V. Drake will deliver the commencement address at the Columbus State Community College spring semester graduation.

More than 1,000 students will earn degrees at the ceremony, which takes place at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 8, at the Celeste Center at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, 717 E. 17th Ave.

The ceremony marks 50 years since the first graduates of Columbus State earned degrees. The school was founded in 1963 and two years later, the first associate degrees were awarded to 40 students.
