Ohio State University to be open Monday

Ohio State's Columbus campus will be open on Monday (3/10), but officials say parking is expected to be more difficult than usual as the university continues its snow removal efforts. Faculty, staff and students driving to campus on Monday are encouraged to allow extra time for travel and parking. The parking lots are plowed, but they are not bare pavement. Melting and refreezing may cause icy conditions in the morning.

Garage ramps will be somewhat slippery so students are encouraged to proceed with caution. The best parking options are West Campus and Buckeye lots. The Campus Area Bus Service will be running additional shuttles from these areas.

On-campus students who have parked in overnight lots are encouraged to move their cars to West Campus so that these lots can be cleared.

For parking assistance, call Transportation and Parking at 292-9341.

EDITORS NOTE:

Sarah Blouch, director of Transportation and Parking will be available for interviews at 2 p.m. today (3/9) at the parking lot on the south side of the French Field House, directly off Woody Hayes Drive.
