Ohio State women’s basketball 2020-21 schedule announced

Season opens on Nov. 25 when Ohio State hosts Akron

The 2020-21 Ohio State women’s basketball schedule includes a 20-game Big Ten slate, the conference announced Monday afternoon. The Buckeyes will also play four non-conference contests to bring the 2020-21 schedule to 24 games.

The season officially opens in Value City Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 25, when Ohio State hosts Akron. The action continues on Sunday, Nov. 29 against Duquesne at the Covelli Center. Ohio State will welcome Northern Kentucky on Dec. 6 and St. Mary’s (CA) on Dec. 15 to close out its non-conference slate.

The Buckeyes will play 10 conference home games and 10 road games beginning in Value City Arena against Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 19. Big Ten action will run through March 6, featuring home-and-home series with Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, Rutgers, Michigan, Northwestern and Indiana. Ohio State will also host Michigan State on Dec. 31, Minnesota on Feb. 7 and Purdue on Feb. 18.

On Nov. 18, The Ohio State University Department of Athletics determined that family members of the players and coaching staffs of teams competing this fall will no longer be permitted into any university sporting event.

The decision by the department to not allow any fans aligns with the Columbus Department of Health’s stay at home advisory, which was issued on Nov. 18. The advisory will remain in place until Dec. 18.

Broadcasting television networks, as well as game times, are still being determined. Games not televised will be available for viewing on BTN+ streaming platforms.
