Orton Hall chimes, with more bells, to be rededicated

President Karen Holbrook will be on hand to formally rededicate the Orton Hall chimes at 2 p.m. ceremony on Monday (5/12) in front of the bell tower at 155 South Oval Mall.
Dan L. Heinlen, president of The Ohio State Alumni Association, Inc. will serve as emcee for the program, which will also feature a presentation of colors by the OSU Reserve Officers Training Corps and the national anthem performed by the Navy ROTC Choir.

Speakers include Amy Gosnell, president of Chimes Junior Class Honorary and Ohio State graduate Col. Kim Winzeler, U.S. Marines, (B.S. OSU 1978.)

Chimers Sally Blatt and Donna Knisley will conclude the ceremony by playing two songs on the chimes that were not possible to play before the addition of the new bells to the tower: Across the Field and Buckeye Battle Cry.

Media access to the interior of the tower will be available before and after the ceremony.
