OSU Homecoming 2007 celebration says to fans: "Let's Go Nuts!"

Ohio State invites alumni to come home for Homecoming 2007, October 14-20. "Let's Go Nuts" is the theme of the weeklong event, which celebrates Buckeye pride, traditions, and history. The week's events focus on diversity, service, education, and Buckeye spirit. Events throughout the week include:

Sunday (10/14)
•Stefanie Spielman Homecoming 5K, 9 a.m., Beekman Park, corner of Kenny and Lane. Proceeds from the 5K run/walk benefit The James Cancer Hospital.

Monday (10/15)
•Homecoming Carnival, 2 to 6 p.m., South Oval. Enjoy a mix of carnival games, food, and prizes.
•Rigoberta Menchu Tum lecture, 7 p.m., Mershon Auditorium. The 1992 Nobel Peace Prize recipient will speak about her experiences in her native Guatemala.

Tuesday (10/16)
•American Red Cross Blood Drive, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Old Long's Bookstore, 1836 N. High St.
•Brad Karsh lecture, 7 p.m., Independence Hall, 1923 Neil Avenue Mall. Expert advice for students on getting that first job.
•Residence Hall Lobby Decorating Contest, 8 p.m., various residence halls on campus.

Wednesday (10/17)
•American Red Cross Blood Drive, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Old Long's Bookstore, 1836 N. High St.
•Greek Sing, 7 p.m., Weigel Hall, 1866 College Road. A revived tradition of vocal competition among fraternities and sororities.
•Float Construction, Part I, 5 p.m. to midnight, Ohio Stadium south stands.

Thursday (10/18)
•Second Annual World Series of Rock, Paper, Scissors, 6 p.m., South Oval. It's an attempt at the Guinness World Record for the world's largest Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament.
•Float Construction, Part II, 5 p.m. to midnight, Ohio Stadium south stands.

Friday (10/19)
•Homecoming Parade, 6 p.m., Ohio Stadium. The parade will travel east on 17th Avenue, south on College Road, east on 12th Avenue, north on High Street, and west on Woodruff Ave. and Woody Hayes Drive to the Tailgate and Pep Rally at St. John Arena.
•Homecoming Tailgate and Pep Rally, 7 p.m., St. John Arena, 410 Woody Hayes Drive.

Saturday (10/20)
•Buckeye football vs. Michigan State, 3:30 p.m., Ohio Stadium.
