Pregame ceremony honors Ohio State football seniors

Cheers, applause and a few tears helped send off The Ohio State University football team’s senior players.

More than two dozen Buckeyes were honored before the kickoff against Penn State Saturday. Many of these fourth- and fifth-year players are two-time Big Ten Champions.

“We’ve been through a lot the last couple years. I love these guys with all my heart. They’ve become family and so those guys, having their last game in the stadium, it’s going to be emotional,” head coach Ryan Day said earlier this week. “They deserve everything they get in terms of praise and admiration, from everyone in Buckeye Nation, for what they have done. It’s a special group.”

The senior managers Devin Cramer, Austin Edwards, Paul Mercurio, Eric Scholz and Noah Strausbaugh were also recognized.

The final game of the regular season is Nov. 30 in Ann Arbor.
