President Holbrook to help welcome students to campus Sunday

President Karen A. Holbrook will be greeting students and their families, including the best academically prepared first-year class for the 10th consecutive year, during Move-In Day Sunday (9/19) at The Ohio State University.

Holbrook will be available to speak to media between 8 and 8:30 a.m. at Value City Arena at The Jerome Schottenstein Center, 555 Borror Drive and after 8:30 a.m. at Morrill Tower, 1900 Cannon Drive.

At the Schottenstein Center, approximately 5,000 students will begin the process of moving into 32 residence halls, including Morrill Tower. After checking-in and obtaining their keys, students will be directed to their specific residence halls where they will be greeted by a few of the 1,200 first-year students who have volunteered as Ohio State Welcome Leaders (OWLS). The OWLS will unload students’ belongings into large red carts and deliver them to their rooms.

WHAT:President Holbrook will be available to discuss Ohio State Move-In Day with media.

WHEN:At 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday (9/19).

WHERE:8 a.m.- Schottenstein Center, 555 Borror Drive.
8:30 a.m.- Morrill Tower loading dock, 1900 Cannon Drive.

WHY:Because approximately 5,000 new and returning students will be moving into Ohio State residence halls.
