President, Mayor to respond to off-campus riots

COLUMBUS – Ohio State University President Karen A. Holbrook and Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman will brief the media on their reactions to this morning’s disturbances on campus and the areas just across High Street. They will be joined by Athletics Director Andy Geiger, Vice President for Student Affairs Bill Hall, Public Safety Director and Assistant Vice President Vernon Baisden, Mitch Brown, Columbus public safety director, and Deputy Police Chief Steve Gammill. The news conference will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the university’s Student Affairs building, 33 W. 11th Ave.
