Public meeting for policing center to be held Monday

A public meeting to discuss the proposed campus area Neighborhood Policing Center will be held Monday (4/24) by the Ohio State University and the City of Columbus. The public is invited to attend the 7 p.m. meeting at the Godman Guild Association, 303 E. Sixth Avenue.

The meeting will encourage input about the facility, located between 236-246 E. 11th Ave, from permanent residents of the University District. A similar meeting was held on April 12 at Ohio Union to seek student input about the center.

The 14,000-square-foot center is jointly funded by the City of Columbus and Ohio State University. It will house the Precinct 4 offices of the Columbus Division of Police, the Community Crime Patrol and some spaces for use by community groups.
