Record number of Ohio State students, faculty and staff expected for 16th annual Thanksgiving Day dinner

One of the largest Thanksgiving Day dinners on a college campus will be hosted by The Ohio State University from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday (11/22) at the Recreation and Physical Activity Center, Davis Special Events Gym, 337 W. 17th Ave.

The 16th annual event will be held for more than 1,200 guests – students, faculty and staff, along with their families, who are unable to travel to their own homes for the holiday. A core of volunteers from throughout the university community will assist in serving the traditional turkey dinner.

The event began as a gathering for 25 graduate students at the Hale Black Cultural Center and today includes broad participation from students who live outside Ohio as well as many international students.
