Richard Lewis Grand Marshal for OSU Homecoming Parade

COMEDIAN AND OHIO STATE ALUMNUS RICHARD LEWIS IS GRAND MARSHAL

COLUMBUS -- Actor, comedian and Ohio State University
alumnus Richard Lewis will be the grand marshal for the
homecoming parade and pep rally Friday (10/20) as Ohio State
celebrates Homecoming Week and the 125th anniversary of the
university's founding in 1870. "A Past with a Presence" is the
theme for both the anniversary and the homecoming celebrations
this year.

The homecoming parade, featuring floats, the marching band
and the homecoming court, will begin at 6 p.m. near French Field
House. Lewis will lead the parade around the south side of the
Ohio Union to the Oval. After the parade, Lewis, Archie Griffin,
the football team, cheerleaders, the homecoming court and other
supporters will hold a pep rally on the Oval.

Lewis will speak at the homecoming brunch Saturday (10/21)
at 11:20 a.m. in the Ohio Union and during half time of the
homecoming game.

Lewis, who is in the midst of his "Magical Misery Tour,"
recently completed his first dramatic role in the independent
film "Drunks." He also appeared in "Weekend In The Country,"
"Wagons East," "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," and "Once Upon A
Crime."

A self-proclaimed "comedian from hell," Lewis has appeared
on "Late Night With David Letterman" some 50 times and
participated in HBO's Comic Relief since its beginnings in 1987.
In addition to his numerous films, Lewis starred in the
critically acclaimed television series "Anything But Love" with
Jamie Lee Curtis. The show ran on ABC for four years, beginning
in 1989. Reruns of the show are still being shown on the
Lifetime cable network.

Lewis was named on GQ Magazine's list of the "20th
Century's Most Influential Humorists" and has been featured on
the cover of Esquire Magazine.
