Senator DeWine To Deliver Terrorism/Foreign Aid Address

U.S. Senator Mike DeWine, a member of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on
Intelligence, will offer a major foreign policy address sponsored by the John Glenn
Institute for Public Service and Public Policy at noon on Wednesday (4/3) at the Faculty Club, 181 South Oval Drive. DeWine will address reporters after delivering a lecture, “Strength Through Compassion: Foreign Aid and Trade as Tools Against Terrorism.”

DeWine’s lecture is the second in the series “Affirming Freedom: One World
Against Terrorism,” developed by The John Glenn Institute for Public Service and
Public Policy in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The first lecture in that series was delivered in November, 2001 by Richard Celeste, former Ambassador to India, Ohio governor and Peace Corps director. Although no seats remain for the Glenn Institute luncheon lecture, media are invited to listen to the speech, which is expected to begin at noon in the
Faculty Club Grand Lounge.

Immediately following the lecture, at approximately 1:10 p.m., DeWine’s news conference will take place in Dining Room E on the second floor of the Faculty Club. An audio mult box will be available for the news conference.
