Statement from The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University issued the following statement in response to Governor Mike DeWine's statement on Ohio House amendments to Senate Bill 187.

Thank you, Governor DeWine. Ohio State agrees that athletic conferences and associations set policies governing student-athlete participation. The university follows these Big Ten and NCAA policies to ensure all our student-athletes can compete.

There is currently no NCAA guidance regarding name, image and likeness, and we support legislation that will benefit all student-athletes across Ohio, like the original Ohio Senate bill without amendments.
