CANCER SURVIVORS DAY CELEBRATION--June 8.  Physicians, nurses and
staff of The James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute will
reunite with former patients and their families during the annual
Picnic with the Docs from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the 9th Avenue
parking garage, level 5.  The annual reunion, which commemorates
National Cancer Survivors Day 1997, will feature the Alumni Band
and a keynote address from cancer survivor Herbert Newton, M.D.,
a neurology professor at The James.

STUDENTS FACE FINAL EXAMS--June 9-12.  Students are expected to
spend much of the week studying as they prepare for final exams
for spring quarter classes. Following their last exam, many
students head back to their hometowns for summer jobs.  For
others, summer quarter begins June 23.

GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES PROGRAM THAT TEACHES BUSINESS CHINESE-STYLE--
June 10.  Americans will find it easier to do business in China,
thanks to US/China Links, a new program that offers members of
the American business community an intensive education in Chinese
language and corporate culture. To be inaugurated in July,
US/China Links will be directed and taught by several Ohio State
professors, including Galal Walker, director of the university
