TURNING RESEARCH INTO PRODUCTS--Oct. 6-7.  Technology transfer --
the process of turning inventions into innovative products--is
the topic of a two-day industry/university forum at the Columbus
Westin Hotel, 310 S. High St.  Technology Transfer: Turning Great
Research into Innovative Products brings together senior officers
of nearly 20 major technology firms, the chief research officers
for more than a dozen national research universities, and major
government officials involved in the promotion of research
partnerships.

OHIO STATE STUDENTS WILL CONSIDER HIGH STREET DESIGNS--Oct.7.
Ohio State students will have an opportunity to tell urban
planners how to improve High Street at a public forum on Tuesday,
(10/7) at 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Partners office, 1824 N. High
St.  Students are invited  to learn about and then comment on the
High Street Urban Design Project, a plan to enhance High Street
as the great main street of the University District.  The forum
is sponsored by the newly formed Campus Partners Student Advisory
Board.

PRESIDENT GEE DELIVERS LECTURE ON LEADERSHIP--Oct. 8.  Ohio State
University President E. Gordon Gee will be the first speaker in a
new lecture series established as a memorial to Lena C. Bailey,
former dean and professor emeritus of the College of Human
