TOURNAMENT FEATURES DEBATE AND PUBLIC SPEAKING--Dec. 6-7.  Some 
of the best public presentation performances in the country are 
expected at the Holiday Frolic Forensics Tournament, Dec. 6-7 at 
the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St.  The tournament, hosted by the 
Ohio State University Forensics Program, is  the largest 
intercollegiate Speech and Debate tournament in the midwest.  
Around 40 colleges and universities will compete in debate and 
eleven public speaking categories.

PROVOST ADDRESSES UNIVERSITY SENATE--Dec. 7.  Provost Richard 
Sisson, the university's chief academic officer, will deliver his 
annual address to the university governing body at 9 a.m. in 
Kottman Hall, 2021 Coffey Rd.

MUCH COFFEE WILL BE CONSUMED... Students take final exams for the 
quarter Monday through Thursday.  Winter quarter classes begin 
Jan. 6.  

AUTUMN QUARTER COMMENCEMENT--Dec. 13.  John Ong, chair of the 
BFGoodrich Co. will be the commencement speaker for autumn 
quarter graduates of The Ohio State University Dec. 13 in St. 
John Arena. Some 1,700 degrees will be awarded at the ceremonies, 
which begin at 9:30 a.m. A 1954 Master of Arts graduate of Ohio 
State in history, Ong is credited with transforming BFGoodrich -- 
a manufacturer of tires, rubber products and plastics -- into a 
profitable provider of aircraft systems and services, and a 
producer of specialty chemicals.

THERAPY AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES AT CLINIC--The Marriage and Family 
Therapy Doctoral Program is accepting new clients for its clinic 
in Mount Hall, 1050 Carmack Rd.  Clients pay a fee based on their 
incomes.  The Ph.D. students, who have master's degrees and 
previous experience, help individuals and families with 
relationships. Students receive academic training and clinical 
experience under direct supervision of clinical faculty.
