Students unite to assist Hurricane Katrina victims

Ohio State University students will host a campus-wide spaghetti dinner to support the survivors of Hurricane Katrina starting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday (10/10) at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. Sponsored by Undergraduate Student Government, the Council of Graduate Students, the Inter-Professional Council, and the Greek Councils, funds raised will assist Ohio State students affected by the hurricane and food banks in the gulf region serving large numbers of survivors.

The dinner will include spaghetti with a choice of meat or marinara sauce, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage for $7 or one swipe on a student meal card.

Ohio State students and faculty and staff may dine in the Ohio Union ballrooms, 1739 N. High St., at their choice of the 5:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. seating. Pre-sale tickets are encouraged and available at the Ohio Union information center located on the second floor. Pre-paid carryout orders will be available for pick-up from 5 to 8 p.m. on the east side of the Ohio Union along Union Drive.

Students living in residence halls may use their meal plan to participate during regular dinner hours at Buckeye Express South, 113 West 12th Ave.; Kennedy Commons, 251 West 12th Ave.; Morrill Commons, 1900 Cannon Dr.; and North Commons, 157 Curl Dr.
