the University of Auckland in New Zealand; Ismail 
Serageldin, vice president for environmentally sustainable 
development for the World Bank; and Don Shackelford.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD: Frank W. Hale, Jr., vice 
provost for minority affairs and professor emeritus at Ohio 
State and Richard J. Solove, managing general partner of R. 
J. Solove and Associates.
