TBDBITL salutes veterans at Michigan State halftime

Marching band performs patriotic tunes in honor of Veterans Day

At halftime during this weekend’s home football game against Michigan State University, The Ohio State University Marching Band honored veterans, highlighting each branch of the military during the performance.

The band performed “Let Freedom Ring,” “Themes from Band of Brothers,” “Military Medley” and “A Patriotic Medley.”

Formations included an Army eagle, the Navy logo and a cannon.

During the pregame, TBDBITL recognized 61 non-returning members of the band.

This week’s i-dotter was music education major Jake Blevins.

The Tai Forest Monkey Project has operated a research field station in west Africa’s Ivory Coast for 30 years, but on the one day since its opening that the site was unstaffed because of conflict in nearby Liberia, poachers took advantage – and killed 18 endangered monkeys.
