Tom Pope to help close United Black World Month

Syndicated radio talk show talent Tom Pope will help conclude United Black World Month at The Ohio State University by hosting a town meeting from 7-9 p.m. tonight (2/27) at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. The event is free and open to the public, although seating is limited.

Sponsored by the Ohio State Office of Minority Affairs, the forum will feature Pope and Columbus-area religious leaders addressing socioeconomic issues pertinent to African Americans. Last year, a similar program featuring Pope drew more than 700 people.

Pope is host of the daily talk program “The Tom Pope Show,” which airs locally on WSMZ-FM. He also serves as general manager of the Powernomics Radio Network based in Washington, D.C.
