Trustees: Committee Appointments

WEXNER APPOINTS TRUSTEES TO COMMITTEES AND BOARDS

     COLUMBUS -- Les Wexner, the new chair of The Ohio State 
University Board of Trustees, announced Thursday (6/6) several 
appointments to the board committees and representatives to other 
university-affiliated boards and commissions.

     The appointments are as follows:

     Educational Affairs Committee -- Alex Shumate, chair; 
Michael F. Colley, vice chair; Zuheir Sofia, Holly A. Smith.

     Fiscal Affairs and Investments Committee -- George A. 
Skestos, chair; Theodore S. Celeste, vice chair; David L. 
Brennan, James F. Patterson, John G. McCoy, and Frank Wobst.  
McCoy and Wobst are members of The Ohio State University 
Foundation Board.

     Personnel Committee -- Les Wexner, chair; Shumate, vice 
chair; Celeste.

     Standing Committee on Agricultural Affairs -- Patterson, 
chair; Fred L. Dailey, director of the Ohio Department of 
Agriculture, vice chair, ex officio; Tamala Longaberger Kaido.

     Student Affairs Committee -- Smith, chair; Patterson, vice 
chair; Longaberger Kaido, Mark E. Berkman.

     Inter-University Council -- Longaberger Kaido.

     The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute 
Board -- Sofia, chair; Longaberger Kaido.

     Ohio State University Affiliates Inc. -- Wexner (one-year 
term), Shumate (two-year term), Celeste (three-year term).

     Regional campus boards of trustees:  Lima -- Celeste, until 
1997; Mansfield -- Patterson, until 1997; Marion -- Brennan, 
until 1997; and Newark -- Longaberger Kaido, until 1999.

     Research Foundation Board of Directors -- Celeste.

     Research Park Board -- Celeste.

     University Foundation, ex officio class of directors --  
Shumate (one-year term), Celeste (two-year term), Brennan (three-
year term).

     University Hospitals Board -- Skestos and Celeste.

     University Managed Health Care -- Skestos.

     University Master Planning Committee -- Wexner, chair; 
Skestos, vice chair; Shumate, Colley, Sofia.

     Wexner Center Foundation Board -- Wexner (board's 
appointee), Longaberger Kaido (president's appointee).
