BOARD ACCEPTS ENDOWED FUNDS, APPROVES APPOINTMENTS
COLUMBUS -- The Ohio State University Board of Trustees on
Friday (3/6) accepted 13 new named endowed funds, approved several
appointments and conducted miscellaneous business.

Trustees heard a report from Jerry May, vice president for
development, on fund-raising efforts, including the establishment of
the Center for Education and Economic Development Support Fund.
Gifts of $426,929 were received from many individuals, companies and
organizations to fund construction, operating expenses and program
support for the Center for Education and Economic Development at the
university
