Trustees: Presidential Search Committee Appointed

PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH COMMITTEE APPOINTED, CONSULTANT HIRED

     COLUMBUS -- The Ohio State University Board of Trustees on
Friday (9/5) appointed 17 persons to serve on a Presidential
Search Committee to recommend a replacement for President E.
Gordon Gee, whose resignation is effective at the end of 1997.

     The committee is chaired by Alex Shumate, chair of the Board
of Trustees.  He will give updates on the committee
