University recognizes 12 Distinguished Staff Award recipients

President Karen Holbrook, Provost Barbara Snyder and Associate Vice President for Human Resources Larry Lewellen will officially recognize 12 Distinguished Staff Award recipients at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday (6/16) in banquet rooms A-D of the Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road. The formal program begins at approximately 12:20 p.m.

The award recipients were selected by a committee of staff based on their exceptional accomplishments, leadership and service to the university community. The staff who will be recognized: Cindy R. Bernlohr, program specialist for the Department of Mathematics; Sarah M. Blouch, director of Transportation and Parking Services; Yvonne Dulaney, administrative associate for the Ohio Union and Student Activities; Lakshmi Dutta, academic counselor and staff assistant for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science; Pam Hussen, academic counselor and staff assistant, Department of Industrial, Welding, and Systems Engineering; Michele Larrimer, administrative associate for the Byrd Polar Research Center; Maria Mazon, academic program specialist for the Department of History; Ann Connor Ottobre, research associate for the Department of Animal Sciences; Carol A. Rinehart, office associate for the Office of Commencement and Special Events; Johnny Raymond Royal, a chemist 2 in the Department of Chemistry; Donald A. Stenta, associate director of the The John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy; and Harold Whitt, lecture demonstrator in the Department of Physics.

The recipients will receive $1,500, a $700 increase in base salary and a trophy in recognition of their contributions.
