UTS Seeks Student Input

OHIO STATE GIVES STUDENTS MORE INPUT ON TECHNOLOGY NEEDS

COLUMBUS -- To ensure that student concerns on technology issues are
considered in a systematic and meaningful way at The Ohio State University,
a Student Technology Advisory Committee and a paid student staff position
have been created. University Technology Services, which leads and supports
technological endeavors at OSU, is now seeking applicants for a student
associate director who will serve on and provide liaison between the
committee and university administration.

James F. Davis, associate provost and UTS director, believes strongly that
student needs must be considered directly, and he's enthusiastic about the
new efforts. "We feel that extending the existing advisory committee
representation to include the student associate director and the new
advisory committee is the best way for UTS to get student feedback on a
regular basis and to have their direct input as we make technology
decisions that they ultimately have to live with."

Undergraduate Student Government Vice President Greg Krabacher concurs.
