Video: Classic cartoons inspire Ohio State marching band

A throwback halftime show featuring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd entertained Buckeye fans during the football game against Penn State this weekend.

The Ohio State University Marching Band paid tribute to classic cartoons and classic music Saturday.

The show, designed by band director Christopher Hoch, opened with the “Diamond” Ohio formation inside the Warner Brothers shield. Some of the drills in the show included Bugs Bunny’s face to “The Barber of Seville,” Elmer Fudd trying to “kill the wabbit” set to “Ride of the Valkyries,” and Bugs Bunny’s horse from “What’s Opera, Doc?”

Chase Rudy, a mechanical engineering major from Westerville, was the i-dotter this week.

Fans of the marching band have the opportunity to vote on social media for their favorite halftime formation after each new performance. Follow @TBDBITL on Twitter to vote on Monday mornings.
