Chancellor Fingerhut to deliver Patterson Lecture on role of land-grant universities

Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Eric D. Fingerhut will be the keynote speaker for the 6th Annual James F. Patterson Land-Grant University Lecture at 11 a.m. on Friday (4/24) at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, 2201 Fred Taylor Drive.

In his lecture, "The Land-Grant College and the University System of Ohio: Evolving Roles in Higher Education," Chancellor Fingerhut will discuss economic advancement and the role of the land-grant university as the state works to create jobs and attract world-class talent. Ohio State plays a critical role in Ohio's economic future as the state's flagship university.

This event will also feature the announcement of grant recipients and the recognition of award winners. Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee and Provost Joseph A. Alutto will participate in this major program.
