Expert can discuss Cincinnati homicide case involving police

An Ohio State University expert can discuss the homicide ruling by the Cincinnati coroner in the death of a 350-pound black man after a confrontation with six police officers.

Joshua Dressler, a professor in the Moritz College of Law who specializes in criminal law and criminal procedure, says the police officers may not be held criminally responsible in case even though the coroner ruled it a homicide. He also can discuss the case’s possible next steps and can comment on the rights of citizens if they think they are being unlawfully arrested.
