Winter storm impacts Ohio State

The Columbus and most of the campuses of The Ohio State University are under a wind chill advisory through Monday.

According to the Wilmington office of the National Weather Service, the advisory is in effect until noon on Monday. Parts of the state could see wind chills of 20 degrees below zero.

Please remember to take precautions while traveling in winter weather and check with your scheduled activities to be sure there are no changes or cancellations.

Before snow and ice start to collect, the university treats campus roadways and sidewalks. Staff remain on campus throughout the day and night treating and plowing, as needed.

Students, faculty and staff can monitor the current campus conditions online. The website includes a live weather camera, updated weather conditions and current forecasts.

As the snow starts falling around campus, share your photos to the Ohio State News Twitter page. We’ll take some of the best pictures and share them throughout the holiday weekend.
